2013 Season - Week 24 (Cont)

The 2013 Langley Raptors were the first team to win the Papas Fritas Trophy behind three QB’s:- Michael Vick (weeks 1-6 27 pts), Philip Rivers (weeks 7-11 12 pts), and Nick Foles (weeks 12-17 46 pts) since Mark won it all back in 2000 behind signal callers Troy Aikman, Jeff Blake and Kerry Collins. The last time the champion employed two QBs was in 2005 when Daz won with Matt Hasselbeck & Chad Pennington. In all Chief employed 14 players which tied Mark from 2000, Daz from 2005 and Johnnie in 2010 as the most ever used in a winning cause. However the biggest congratulations of them all must go to Adam Vinatieri who won his second ever Championship, 16 years after winning it with Gully back in 1997! BUMS Medals Table While the Winter Olympics continue remember you get a Gold for winning the Papas Fritas Trophy, Silver for runner-up and Bronze for a third place finish, these gongs only go to those playing in the highest league in Fantasy Football. After 19 years of medals Aaron became the 16th BUMS owner to medal after he won a Silver this season, putting him joint 14th on the medal table with Craig. Cheryl moved up to joint ninth with John (both now have a Gold and two Bronzes). After his third championship Chief now leads with 3 golds, 5 silvers and 2 bronze (for a total of 10 medals). Johnnie fell to second (3-4-4) and Wayne is third with 3-0-2 (after joining in 2001). Mark lies fourth 2-1-2 and Daz is fifth 2-0-0. BUMS End of Season Dinner A table for 11 has been booked by Johnnie for 6:30pm next Wednesday, February 26th at The Diner in Soho (just off Carnaby Street). BUMS attending are Aaron, Cheryl, Chief, John, Johnnie, Marcus and Mark (plus hopefully Daz) along with cheerleaders Ashley, Ele and Jess. That should be the next official BUMS gathering, more details nearer the time.
